The Voice of a Generation by ~allaricdeschain:iconallaricdeschain:

Silent is the voice of a generation
And apathy its favorite fare
We pass by everyone without a care
We spout great verse
But action we not dare
We say there is love
And yet all I see is air

You know Gonzalo. One of the first things he read in lit club was a philosophical critique on a paper that claimed our generation was the one that had the sentiment to have a revolution but was to diffused to become a movement. He, Gonzalo and not the critiquer, swears by post-post-modernism and post-post-structuralism. It\'s really interesting stuff.

About the form of this poem: picks up a rhyme-scheme, but only after the first two lines. The second rhyme may confuse the rhyme a bit because of this. Also, toss me a comma or two in there, will ya? Maybe after the second line, fourth and sixth. Although that is just based on my reading of it, your intent and pacing may be different then mine.

Still, this pieces pokes in the right places, methinks.
this was in the rush...over summer I'll probably go back and edit everything, punctuation and what not. Also, again, this may be extended and revised extensively as it is a subject I have a great passion about...hehe irony I'm passionate about the fact that everyone seems apathetic....
O well, now I'm rambling, but yea....need to look into the post-post's
