Reprieve, Quiet, AwakeningI found myself standing in a puddle in the city; she was standing right next to me, still holding my hand. We walked the street both of us anachronistic anomalies in this world. We're holding hands and a cab drives by and splashes my left side. She giggles and I brushed it off. We kept walking, I bought her a bouquet of tulips and we strolled through the market. We bought some vegetables for dinner and kept walking leisurely. We stopped by and sat down in a tea restaurant and lounge. Ambient trip-hop played as wReprieve, Quiet, Awakening
Fish FlightThe girl had disappeared and I stood looking over this grassy precipice; the fish moving slowly, gracefully below me sometimes being obscured by the mist. I looked straight ahead, looking over the entire valley I felt a sense of minuteness and awe with the mixed blessing of being above it all. Just then I heard a low groan and saw the mist part; one of the massive koi had nudged the hump back the wrong way and was now being chased around the valley by it. I saw it steam forward toward the valley wall and it disappeared under the mist. Not but two seconds later the back followed. I wondereFish Flight
Dreaming Field I awoke with a start from my camp on the rocky side of the mountain, I was making my descent. My hair a shambles still in the sleeping bag I look over the site, making sure all was in order. Coffee pot, regular pot, extinguished smoldering pile of ash, and sleeping bag...yea all here. Begrudgingly I got up and used my fingers to attempt to comb my hair. After fixing a pot of tea, ironically in the coffee carafe, I continued on my descent with the sleeping bag rolled up on top of my pack. My steps seemed hard as theyDreaming Field
